In this special solo episode of Lucky to Be Here, I invite you to go inwards so we review what this year has been and leverage the lessons and insights to prepare for 2026. I share with you the distinction between strategy, planning, and setting habits and routines for career explorers that builds on our discussions from earlier this year (which you can find starting here).
One key idea is at the heart of everything I discuss today: navigating uncertainty, both in our reflections about this year, and as we prepare for what is ahead. As part of our discussion, I created the Year in Review Prompts workbook, which you can download here to follow along during this episode and continue working on your own after listening.
I also offer some creative strategies for setting goals for the upcoming year, leaning into the creativity and playfulness that have made this time of the year easier for me to tackle over time. I mentioned in this episode that one of these ideas, the 12 Goals one, led me to create this podcast, and you can see proof of this in this photo you can see below, which I took last New Year’s Eve.
