Hi Reader,
In today’s Lucky to Be Here, we make a stop in London to chat with Veronica Bianchini.
Veronica is a Senior Strategic Customer Success Manager. Veronica was born in Argentina, in a multi-cultural household of first generation immigrants. After graduating as a Political Science major, she transitioned to a career in Market Insights. She has been living in London for the past 10 years, where she has worked in Market Research, Consulting and now Tech.
In this conversation, Veronica shares her journey of moving from Argentina to London, exploring the motivations behind her relocation, the cultural challenges she faced, and the personal growth she experienced. She discusses the importance of redefining success, the value of networking, and the lessons learned from her experiences abroad. Veronica emphasizes the need for resilience and an open mindset in navigating life as an expat, ultimately encouraging listeners to embrace change and pursue their goals with confidence.
Something that I deeply appreciated about this conversation with Veronica was her openness about her own inner process, and how her path has been motivated by the search for identity and belonging. She highlights during our chat that networking has been essential for her to build the relationships that have empowered her and supported her through each step, from finding jobs to buying her own home. But she also points out to how important it is to understand the nuances of cultural differences and coming into interactions with a learner’s mind to understand one another and the local context and market.
Like Veronica says during our conversation, “it’s always been an internal journey for me.”
After our chat, Veronica also shared a few resources that helped her understand UK culture better, a topic that we covered as part of our conversation. These resources are:
