For many of us, this is our last working week of the year (or at least full week of work). In my case, you will be receiving a couple of newsletters and podcast episodes more (more on this in a minute!), but AGV Services LLC is also slowing down for the winter break until early 2026.
A year ago today, this did not exist. By "this", I mean any of it. There was no newsletter, no podcast, no actual business beyond an LLC registration. I was landing in Argentina for at least a month (but no clear timeline), having submitted my resignation to my job at the time to wrap up at the end of that week and praying that my O-1 visa would get approved on that same day so I could finally, after many years, build the business I had ideated, dreamed about, planned in scattered notes on my phone and post-its. It was the riskiest leap of faith I have ever taken, and yet the one I was the most convinced about.
And the leap kept leaping... What I started drafting sitting at the kitchen table of my family home in Morón, Buenos Aires evolved into this actual business that, in my eyes, is more about the ongoing conversation I get to deepen and nurture with all of you through these emails, our events, AGV Lab and so much more. It is about making every experience and every win a resource that can propel us forward, individually and collectively. This has been a challenging first year of entrepreneurship, but also a really rewarding (and revealing) one.
In a couple of days, you will be receiving one of two short end-of-year mini. episodes I put together for you. The first one this weekend is on reviewing the year that is wrapping up and preparing for 2026. When I prepared this episode, I developed also a short guide with a few questions and ideas that you can take with you and explore on your own, while (or after) listening to the episode. As a thank you for being part of my newsletter community, you can already access this workbook before the episode comes out on December 20th. (Heads up: there is also a fun idea for prioritizing your goals that requires you to do it on the solstice, so you want to download this soon if you want to do it!).
This year has been challenging, period. We talked about the storms of our lives a few weeks ago, and this year has been one hell of a tornado for most of us. But one thing that has kept me grounded is the conviction that, especially in moments of challenge like this, we become better at navigating the storms when we are able to cut through the noise and connect with ourselves and what matters most to us. This year has reaffirmed that for me, and has fueled me into continuing to find opportunities to create spaces and conversations for reflection and connection so we can thrive without losing sight of our humanity and what makes us who we are. That is my wish for all of us for this holiday season and beyond: that we can take solace in the fact that no matter how challenging it gets, we have ourselves and one another, and we can find ways of building careers and lives that honor that at each step.
We may not know what the next year might look like, but I hope this reflection and these resources serve as an invitation to take a pause, recognize all that you have gone through and done for yourself this year, and build on that as we move into another year that will most certainly keep us on our toes. But fear do not, as I will share in the last episode and email of this year, we can all make bold moves. I know we will.
Looking forward to continue supporting each other through our journeys,
